WESTWOOD, N.J. [September 10, 2026] – Pascack Valley Medical Center is pleased to welcome Noor Mahmood, D.O. a Family Medicine physician focused on helping adults take a proactive, personalized approach to their health. Dr. Mahmood provides comprehensive primary care with an emphasis on prevention, lifestyle medicine and the management of both routine and ongoing health needs.
Dr. Mahmood provides annual physicals and wellness visits, preventive health screenings, immunizations, cancer screenings and pre-operative evaluations. She also diagnoses and manages a range of chronic health conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol, asthma, COPD, thyroid disorders and obesity.
Her practice also supports patients with common acute illnesses and everyday health concerns, as well as women’s health needs including well-woman exams and menopause management. Dr. Mahmood provides screening and treatment for depression and anxiety, stress management counseling and referrals to behavioral health specialists when additional support is needed.
Dr. Mahmood has a particular interest in lifestyle medicine, mental and behavioral health, and obesity and weight management. She helps patients understand how nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress and emotional well-being can influence their overall health and works with them to identify realistic, sustainable changes that support long-term wellness.
Her approach to primary care begins with listening and understanding what matters most to each patient. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, Dr. Mahmood works collaboratively with patients to develop care plans that reflect their individual health needs, priorities and goals. She strives to make healthcare feel approachable and manageable while encouraging patients to take an active role in their care.
Dr. Mahmood earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and Psychology with a minor in Nutritional Sciences from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and completed her Family Medicine residency training at Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Dr. Mahmood speaks Urdu and understands Punjabi and Hindi.
