At Pascack Valley Medical Center we are committed to excellence in all we do. Our Emergency Department door-to-provider times are the most efficient in the state, averaging only 20 minutes. Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, our highly skilled staff is ready for whatever emergency life may bring you. When to Visit the ED?

The following are warning signs which may indicate a medical emergency:

  • Difficulty breathing, shortness of breath
  • Chest or upper abdominal pain or pressure
  • Fainting, sudden dizziness, weakness
  • Changes in vision
  • Confusion or changes in mental status
  • Any sudden or severe pain
  • Uncontrolled bleeding
  • Severe or persistent vomiting or diarrhea
  • Coughing or vomiting blood
  • Suicidal thoughts or feelings
  • Difficulty speaking
  • Shortness of breath
  • Unusual abdominal pain
