At Pascack Valley Medical Center we are committed to excellence in all we do. Our Emergency Department door-to-provider times are the most efficient in the state, averaging only 20 minutes. Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, our highly skilled staff is ready for whatever emergency life may bring you. Pascack Valley Medical Center offers superior Emergency Services through our highly trained physicians, nurses and staff.

When to Visit the ED?

The following are warning signs which may indicate a medical emergency:

  • Difficulty breathing, shortness of breath
  • Chest or upper abdominal pain or pressure
  • Fainting, sudden dizziness, weakness
  • Changes in vision
  • Confusion or changes in mental status
  • Any sudden or severe pain
  • Uncontrolled bleeding
  • Severe or persistent vomiting or diarrhea
  • Coughing or vomiting blood
  • Suicidal thoughts or feelings
  • Difficulty speaking
  • Shortness of breath
  • Unusual abdominal pain
