Israa Hussein, M.D., is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and by the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Her academic career began at Al-Nahrain University College of Medicine in Iraq, where she earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. Shortly after, Dr. Hussein completed her internal medicine residency at New York Medical College, Metropolitan Hospital Program, further honing her expertise in patient care and internal medicine before specializing in endocrinology.
