WESTWOOD, New Jersey (May 1, 2018) – Pascack Valley Medical Center recently announced the appointment of Dr. George Lin to Chief Medical Officer.
In his new role, Lin will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, relevant education for physicians, strategic direction and operational management of physician services and medical staff administration for the hospital. He will be an active member of the hospital senior management team and will work with the executive team and physicians to achieve excellence in clinical outcomes, patient safety and other relevant areas of clinical/operational performance.
Pascack Valley Medical Center CEO, Emily Holliman stated, “Dr. Lin has been a physician in the local community for nearly 20 years. We are so pleased to have him join us in the Chief Medical Officer role and we look forward to having his continued leadership here at Pascack Valley Medical Center.”
Lin has been an integral member of the Pascack Valley Medical Center team since the hospital reopened in 2013. Since reopening, Lin has held the titles of Medical Director for the Physician Advisor Service, Vice Chairman for the Department of Medicine, and Committee Chairman for UM, CPOE, and the By Laws committees. His participation in over ten hospital committees has proven his commitment and dedication to the success of Pascack Valley Medical Center.
Lin is board certified in, Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. He received his B.A. and M.D. in a combined program through Boston University and University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He currently resides in Washington Township with his wife and two children.
