March 10, 2018 - Westwood, NJ – On Saturday, March 10th, over one hundred community members, along with Westwood Mayor John Birkner, filled the Westwood Recreation Center to sign-up for the Pascack Valley Wellness Challenge. The Wellness Challenge is part of the Bergen County Department of Health Services’ Community Health Improvement Partnership of Bergen County and the Mayors Wellness Campaign.

The free, six-week challenge is designed to help participants create and maintain a healthy lifestyle through nutrition, physical activity, and overall wellness. At the event, community members were encouraged to register and receive their first health screening, meet with a nutritionist and learn about the free and discounted fitness and wellness classes that are being offered to help them reach their wellness goals.

“We are committed to helping the community members in the Pascack Valley achieve their health and wellness goals,” said Pascack Valley Medical Center CEO, Emily Holliman. “This program is a great way to jump start your fitness and wellness routine, as well as learn about the best nutrition and fitness resources located right in the Pascack Valley.
